MPB recently re-broadcast Mississippi ReMixed on July 15th. The next time the film will be shown will be sometime in November. I'll post the date as soon as we know. The response we've gotten has been great. This is from Linda Mann who sent out about 120 notices of the rebroadcast:
Myra,
I forwarded this message to a lot of people, several of whom, both black and white, were very positively impressed and told me so. “Inspirational,” “Just how it was,” “Everyone should see this,” and “I’m so glad you told me about this,” were some of the comments I got. If the piece ever becomes available on disk, I need two copies to loan out. Please let me know when it airs again. What great work you did, girlfriend!

We've got some great news and some challenging news. There are two distributors that want to represent Mississippi ReMixed. Distribution Access wants to represent the film in the rest of the US....and in Europe, Australia and New Zealand; Moving Images wants the film for Canada and Asia. They are both very excited about Mississippi ReMixed!
Getting a distribution deal is what every filmmaker wants, but in order to sign on the dotted line, I've got to come up with an ADDITIONAL $39,000 to pay for music, images and historical footage licenses. Imagine!
This is where YOU and social networking come into play. Here is a link to the YouTube video I put up that explains my dilemma the best way I know how:
There is a "Donate" button on this "Home" page where you can go to contribute. Please know that every contribution will be GREATLY appreciated.
Many thanks,
Myra
